In general, at 42 Nice, we organize 5 piscines a year, but this can vary: 2 are organized at the beginning of the year, usually in January and February, then 3 during the summer vacations, in July, August and September.

The precise dates of each of the next piscines are updated on this same site. Check it regularly to make sure you don’t miss one!

The piscine requires you to work every day of the week for a month. While we understand that you may have other commitments and obligations, it’s a good idea – and we recommend it – to have nothing planned during the month of your piscine and to make yourself available full-time.

However, full-time doesn’t necessarily mean 24/7. Since the piscine lasts several weeks, it’s very important that you get plenty of rest and sleep all night long. The aim is not for you to overwork yourself and not be able to assimilate anything after a week in: the piscine is a marathon, not a sprint! Of course, the correlation between work time and success rate is undeniable. However, beyond a certain stage, it becomes marginal.

The selection criteria are not revealed: that’s our secret!

But the human and social aspects are just as important as the technical ones. All these aspects are evaluated. Whatever the aspect, put as much effort into it as you can: it’s the only way to find out if the 42 Nice pedagogy is right for you.

You can attempt the piscine a maximum of 2 times, on all 42 campuses combined. However, a minimum of 300 days must separate these 2 Piscines.

It’s not possible to do your piscine remotely: you’ll have to be on site every day.

At 42 Nice, teaching is gamified and project-based. Projects allow us to tackle new concepts and thus acquire new skills. But they don’t just serve this purpose: projects also earn you experience points proportional to the work, investment and rigor required to complete them. By accumulating these experience points, you can move up the levels and determine your progress in the curriculum.

To ensure zero-cost training for our students and candidates, 42 Nice provides 144 Intel Mac Minis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Of course, nothing prevents you from bringing your own computer and/or hardware (the Mac Minis are equipped with several USB ports made available to students precisely for this purpose).

Training is designed to last an average of 3 years, but that doesn’t mean it has to be completed within that time frame.

Indeed, at 42 Nice, everyone is free to pace their training as they see fit. So some people manage to complete their training more or less quickly, while others take longer: but in no way does this affect the value of the skills acquired and the certificate/diploma awarded at the end.

It’s not possible to complete your entire course remotely.

Since your projects have to be corrected by other students on site, you’ll have to visit the campus regularly.

Although training at 42 Nice is very intensive and therefore requires a great deal of organization and personal investment, it is possible to work at the same time. However, this is not recommended, or should be limited to part-time work.

Don’t forget that training at 42 Nice is designed to help you insert yourself into the professional world, with internships available from the first year onwards, followed by part-time jobs or entrepreneurial experience.

42 Nice does not offer scholarships. However, depending on certain criteria, some profiles may be eligible for financial grants.

• For jobseekers, those receiving unemployment benefits can continue to receive payments until their entitlements expire.
• For those who are registered but have no income, files are examined by France Travail at the start of each school year, to enable a select group to benefit from remuneration for their first year of training.

To get to the 42 Nice campus, located at 61 Avenue Simone Veil 06200 Nice, you can come :

• By tramway, with line 3, “Méridia” stop, which is just a few steps from the campus;
• By bus, with lines 17, 20 and 50, which also have a “Mérida” stop next to the campus;
• By bike, thanks to the Vélobleu n°001 station with 10 parking spaces located in front of the campus.

For those with vehicles, the campus has no parking facilities for cars, scooters or motorcycles. The building and facilities are also fully accessible to people with reduced mobility or disabilities.

The 42 Nice campus is close to a Casino and several restaurants with which we have partnerships. Upon presentation of your 42 Nice access badge, given at the beginning of each pool and course, you can benefit from various promotions.

There are many residences close to the school: les estudines Nice Saint Augustin and Sky Valley. Don’t hesitate to consult the Immojeune website. In any case, we advise you to extend your search to Airbnb, SeLoger, Facebook Marketplace, etc.

It is not possible for 42 Nice to provide a VISA or any documents to help you apply for one during the stages of  the Check-In, Check-ID, or the Piscine. International candidates must apply for a tourist VISA through their local embassy to attend these stages. Only if you are admitted as a student will we be able to provide the necessary documents to support your student VISA application.

42 Nice is not in a position to provide you with a VISA: you’ll need to contact your local embassy. However, once your piscine has been validated, we will be able to provide you with the necessary documents to support your student VISA application.

The main spoken languages are French and English. However, 42 Nice is home to many international students. So you’re likely to find students who speak your language.
