42 advocates active learning: this means you’ll have to take control of your own curriculum and find your own source of motivation, curiosity and rigor. You’ll have to learn, on your own, to put all that energy into finding the information you need to progress.
42 Nice won’t teach you this autonomy or rigor, but it will give you all the tools you need to channel all your motivation into increasing your skills and succeeding. In fact, there are no teachers or courses in the traditional sense, but there is a real and proper support structure. This structure is designed to guide students towards the right concepts and resources, and takes the form of a pedagogical team: The Bocal.
This pedagogical team guides students individually and collectively throughout their course, including the professionalization process. It guides you as you progress, and helps you to define and realize your professional project. It sets the rules and makes sure they are respected: it supervises, maintains and contributes to the peer-to-peer dynamic. It enriches the curriculum by creating new projects, improving existing ones and offering conferences, masterclasses and partnerships.
